Founded in 2019, Othshoe was born from a heartfelt mission to bring comfort and relief to older adults through thoughtfully designed footwear. The story began years earlier when Patrick and Alexander, two German university students studying industrial design, became close friends. Patrick's grandfather, a diabetes patient, suffered from chronic foot problems and struggled to find suitable shoes that provided the right fit and support.

Driven by his grandfather's struggles, Patrick teamed up with Alexander to develop a walking shoe specifically designed for older adults. Combining their design expertise, they created a prototype and gifted it to Patrick's grandfather and other seniors in the community. To their delight, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. These seniors shared how the shoes eased their foot problems and encouraged Patrick and Alexander to pursue their vision further.

After graduating, the two friends turned their shared passion into a business, founding Othshoe in 2019. Over the past six years, the brand has stayed true to its mission: providing stylish, comfortable, and supportive footwear for middle-aged and older adults at the best possible prices. Othshoe’s dedication has driven its growth from a local initiative in Germany to an international brand serving customers across North America and more than a dozen European countries.
